El empresario Iñigo Arenas desapareció el pasado 6 de agosto al salir del antro República en Polanco.

Autoridades ministeriales del Estado de México confirmaron este lunes 7 de agosto la muerte del empresario Iñigo Arenas Saiz, quien fue reportado como desaparecido por sus familiares ayer domingo.

Minutos antes de que fuera confirmada su muerte, el presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador mencionó en su conferencia de prensa matutina que no tenía información sobre el empresario mexicano, de 41 años, quien se encontraba desaparecido desde la madrugada de este domingo.

Incluso, el jefe del Ejecutivo dijo que durante la reunión que sostuvo con su gabinete de seguridad -en el que participa Martí Batres, jefe de Gobierno de la CDMX- no se tocó el tema.

“Todos los lunes, como hoy, nos acompaña el jefe de Gobierno, y no hizo ningún planteamiento al respecto, pero vamos a informar”, señaló.

La madrugada de este domingo 6 de agosto, el empresario Iñigo Arenas Saiz desapareció presuntamente a la salida del antro República, ubicado en Masaryk, Polanco, alcaldía Miguel Hidalgo, Ciudad de México.

A través de un video compartido por el dueño del lugar, Javier Díaz, se observó al empresario —quien vestía pantalón de mezclilla y una camisa a cuadros gris— salir del antro alrededor de las 02:46 horas. Desde entonces se desconocía su paradero.

Por esta razón, familiares de la víctima comenzaron a movilizarse y compartieron a través de redes sociales una imagen de Arenas. En tanto, la Fiscalía de Justicia de la Ciudad de México ya había emitido una ficha de búsqueda; sin embargo, no había aclarado el caso.

La desaparición de Iñigo Arenas no es un caso aislado. En 2022, el joven Guillermo Rebolledo fue reportado como desaparecido al salir del mismo antro, localizado en Polanco. Según los detalles, Guillermo dejó el sitio, subió a un taxi de app y lo asaltaron.
